Each spring, Wiggins comes alive as thousands of visitors and locals gather for the beloved Pine Hill Festival, happening Friday, April 24 and Saturday, April 25. One of the oldest and most celebrated festivals in South Mississippi, Pine Hill is the largest annual event in Stone County—bringing together music, art, food and community in a way that feels both timeless and fresh.

Rooted in Wiggins’ history, the festival traces its beginnings to the Pine Hill area, which became the city’s commercial center after a major fire reshaped downtown in 1910. What began as Pine Hill Day in 1981 has grown into a signature two-day celebration that honors the county’s heritage while welcoming new generations of visitors.

Kick off your Pine Hill Festival morning with a little friendly competition and plenty of fun. The Big Dill 5K starts at 9 am in Pine Hill, perfect for runners, walkers and anyone ready to earn their festival treats. The registration fee is $50 and you can sign up here.
